 | The fully ripened grapes were harvested from the Oddone Vineyard in the heart of Dry Creek Valley. The 2006 vintage yielded low tannin levels in the juice, making this wine table friendly and very drinkable in its youth. At first whiff the nose of the wine finds the aroma of rich caramel. The essences of plum and red cherries appear on the palate with just a hint of oak framing the fruit. To round out its complexity the wine finishes with just a hint of black licorice. A definite, buy and drink now wine. |
 | Our Estate Zinfandel is produced from grapes grown on our 28 year old 2 acre hillside vineyard planted to St. George rootstock. The nose exudes soft caramel and sweet raspberry with a touch of white pepper. The American Oak influence frames the fruit in a very food friendly manner. The silky mouth feel and soft, lingering finish beg to be paired with your favorite roasted meat. Definitively approachable for a 2006 vintage as compared to the cellar friendly nature of the 2005’s. |
