The Next Generation

It's taken quite a bit of thought and planning, time and consideration, but we have finally done it...we've adopted the next generation of.....winery greeter.  Our Zoe is just over 10 years old now.  Still spry for an old girl, her sweet demeanor and ability to make our guests feel welcome from the moment they step from their vehicle (or other mode of transportation) needs to be passed to the next generation.

Michael and I worked with a couple of different rescues for a few weeks until this puppy stole our hearts.  We have dubbed her Raquel Zahtila-Swanton, but we call her Rocki for short.  She has a propensity to pick up and chew on rocks of all sizes and shapes, something we hope she'll grow out of, but the monicker will stick.

Rocki is still working on learning commands and to keep her feet on the ground when greeting.  At 12 weeks old, lessons are learned every day.  We hope you will come visit, give each of our greeters a scratch behind the ears, and taste some wine!

Speaking of tasting wine...keep reading for the release notes on our 2009 Napa Valley Chardonnay.  We have been sold out of the 2007 for a few months and didn't produce a 2008 vintage (due to frost damage);  this wine is a welcome addition to our line up and we look forward to sharing it with you soon!

Warm Regards,

Laura and Michael
